Overview
PikTag Inc. respects your right to delete your account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.
Option 1: Delete In-App (Recommended)
The fastest way is directly inside the PikTag mobile app:
- Open PikTag on your device and sign in
- Tap the Profile tab
- Tap Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the address associated with your PikTag account:
Email privacy@pikt.ag
Please include:
- The email address or phone number you used to sign up
- Your PikTag username (if known)
- A brief statement confirming you want your account deleted
We will respond within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verification.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Account information (email, phone, name, username, profile photo)
- Profile data (bio, social links, biolinks)
- All tags you created and tag activity history
- QR scan history and connection data
- Uploaded photos and user-generated content
- Synced contacts and location data
- Device push notification tokens
- In-app messages and interactions
What Data Is Retained (and Why)
Certain data may be retained for a limited period after deletion for legal, security, or operational reasons:
- Anonymized analytics — aggregate usage data that cannot identify you (retained indefinitely for product improvement)
- Crash & diagnostic logs — retained up to 90 days to investigate app stability issues
- Fraud & abuse records — retained as required to prevent account re-creation by banned users
- Legal compliance records — retained only if and as long as required by applicable law
Deletion Timeline
- Account becomes inaccessible: immediately
- User-facing data removed from PikTag servers: within 30 days
- Backups purged: within 90 days
Before You Delete
Deletion is permanent. Once complete, you cannot recover your account, username, connections, or any tags you created. If you just need a break, you can sign out or uninstall the app without deleting your account.
